Hi @Kipperfeet,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're encountering some connectivity issues with your HP Envy 5540 printer on your SKY network. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Verify Network Settings: Make sure that your printer is connected to the correct SKY network. Double-check the SSID (network name) and password.
  • Restart Printer and Router: Turn off your printer and your SKY router. Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on. This can often resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check for Interference: Ensure that there are no physical barriers or electronic devices causing interference between your printer and the router.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can usually do this through the printer's settings menu or the HP website.
  • Reset Network Settings: On your printer, you may have an option to reset network settings. This will clear any existing network configurations, allowing you to set it up again from scratch.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer drivers from your laptop and reinstall them from the HP website. This can sometimes resolve communication issues between the printer and computer.
  • Printer Mobile App: If available, try using the HP Smart app on your mobile device to set up the printer. This app can often simplify the setup process and troubleshoot connectivity issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issues with your HP Envy 5540 printer on your SKY network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
