My printer won’t reconnect to WiFi. It is close to the router and we have checked all the advice we can find online. We have switched off, on, tried to deinstall,  tried to reboot, tried to reinstall, all fail. The printer has only been set up for a week

@Reallybored, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

If the wireless connectivity on your HP Smart Tank 7305 printer is constantly failing, you can follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Network Status:

  • Ensure that your wireless network is functioning properly and that the printer is within range of the wireless router.
  • Verify that other devices can connect to the network without issues.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait for a few minutes, then turn them back on to refresh the network connection.

Update Firmware and Drivers:

  • Make sure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can do this by visiting the HP Support page and checking for available updates.
  • Update the printer drivers on your computer as well.

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • Reset the wireless settings on your printer to re-establish the connection.
  • On the printer's control panel, go to the wireless setup menu, then select the option to connect to your wireless network.

Print a Wireless Network Test Report:

  • Load plain paper in the input tray.
  • On the printer control panel, press the Information button and the Wireless button simultaneously.
  • This will print a report detailing the wireless settings and any connectivity issues.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure there are no physical obstructions or electronic devices that might interfere with the wireless signal between your printer and the router.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
