@Payne1386, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Check Wireless Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer. Verify the printer's network settings using the printer's control panel or the HP Smart App.

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart the printer, router, and computer. This may help reset any network configurations and establish a stable connection.

Reconnect to Network:

  • If your network settings changed with the new router, you may need to reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network:
    • Access the printer control panel and navigate to the wireless settings.
    • Follow the prompts to connect to your Wi-Fi network using the correct SSID and password.

Print Network Configuration Report:

  • Print a network configuration report to ensure that the printer has a valid IP address and is connected to the network:
    • Press the cancellation or Stop/Clear button on the control panel for two seconds to print the report. This report can help verify the connection status and IP address settings.

Update Printer Software:

  • Ensure that your computer has the latest version of the HP printer software installed. You can download updates from the HP Support website.

Check Router Settings:

  • Ensure that the router allows devices to connect properly. DHCP should be enabled, and there should be no MAC or IP filtering preventing the printer from connecting.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
