Tried to over ride it to use regular cartridges and am having a difficult time--cant seem to get the exact instructions for the 7855.
Contacted HP technical support---an absolute disaster!!! If I gotta pay them 30 some dollars--I'l have it done locally!!!
This is the LAST HP i'LL EVER BUY!!

Looks like you're getting the Use setup ink cartridges error, please confirm.
If yes, The only option left is to perform an OOBE reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
