Hi @Nordahl,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your "HP DeskJet 2700e" printer is having trouble connecting to the internet, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network and that the network is functioning properly. Verify that other devices can connect to the same Wi-Fi network without issues.
  • Restart Printer and Router: Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer and then unplug your router from the power source. Wait for about 10-15 seconds, then plug the router back in and wait for it to fully restart. Once the router is up and running, turn on the printer.
  • Check Network Name and Password: Ensure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password. Mistyped passwords or network names are common reasons for connectivity problems.
  • Printer's Wireless Settings: Use the printer's control panel to navigate to the wireless settings and check if the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. If not, you might need to manually select the network and enter the password.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Outdated firmware can sometimes lead to connectivity issues. Visit the official HP website and look for firmware updates specifically for your printer model.
  • Reset Network Settings: Your printer might have an option to reset network settings to default. This can help clear any incorrect settings that might be causing the issue. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to do this.
  • Temporary Firewall or Security Software Issue: If you have a firewall or security software on your computer, it might be blocking the printer's connection. Temporarily disable any such software to see if it resolves the issue.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
