Hi @MalSue,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble getting your HP DeskJet 3772 printer to accept AirPrint from your phone, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try.

  • Compatibility Check: Ensure that your printer model, HP DeskJet 3772, supports AirPrint. Not all HP printers are compatible with AirPrint. Check the printer's specifications or consult the user manual to confirm compatibility.
  • Network Connection: Verify that both your iPhone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. AirPrint requires both devices to be on the same network for it to function properly.
  • Update Firmware: Ensure that your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for firmware updates on the HP website or using the HP Smart app, which is available for download on your phone's app store. Updating the firmware can resolve any compatibility issues.
  • Restart Devices: Try restarting both your iPhone and the printer. Sometimes, a simple restart can help resolve connectivity issues.
  • Reinstall Printer Drivers: If you're using a Windows computer as an intermediary for AirPrint, make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. You can download the drivers from the HP support website and reinstall them on your computer.
  • Reset Network Settings: On your iPhone, you can try resetting the network settings. This can help clear any connectivity glitches. Go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note that this will remove all saved Wi-Fi networks and their passwords, so you'll need to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network afterward.
  • Check AirPrint Settings: Verify that AirPrint is enabled on your printer. On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless or network settings and ensure that AirPrint is turned on.
  • Alternative Printing Options: If AirPrint still doesn't work, you can try using alternative printing options. For example, you can use the HP Smart app to print wirelessly from your phone. Install the app on your iPhone, connect it to the printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to print.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
