My Envy 5010 printer keeps dropping its WiFi connection and making me reboot (almost every time I use it) so I thought the best thing to do would be to connect it to the router directly using an ethernet cable. However, there does not seem to be an ethernet port in the printer; there is a port but I am not sure what it is for. Can I use that port to connect to the router and if so what sort of cable do I need? Or am I missing something?

Your printer model has only wireless network, the other port is USB to direct connection to a computer.
Make sure you have a fully working computer, issues like yours are common for a Windows 10 users, the problem might be in a computer not in a printer.
HP print and scan doctor can help you if you download it and run it.
