HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I recently moved and have changed Internet providers. I tried to setup WIFI on the printer but the option is locked. I do not know the ID or password to unlock. How can I either unlock it or do a factory reset so all features are unlocked?

Hi @mhodges,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you don't know the ID or password for your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-In-One Printer, you might need to perform a factory reset to unlock the printer and reset all settings to their default values. Please note that a factory reset will erase any personalized settings and configurations you have made, so proceed with caution.

Here's how you can perform a factory reset on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e.

  • Turn on the printer if it is not already on.
  • From the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Setup" or "Settings" menu. The exact location of this menu may vary depending on the printer model.
  • Look for the "Restore Factory Defaults" or "Reset" option. Again, the specific wording may vary.
  • Select the "Restore Factory Defaults" or "Reset" option. The printer may prompt you to confirm the action.
  • If prompted, enter the administrator password. The default password is usually "admin" (without quotes) but if you have set a custom password, you will need to use that instead.
  • The printer will then begin the reset process. This may take a few minutes.
  • Once the factory reset is complete, the printer will restart, and all settings will be reset to their defaults.

After the factory reset, you should be able to access the printer functions without requiring an ID or password. However, keep in mind that any network settings and configurations, as well as any custom settings you had set previously, will be erased, and you will need to set them up again.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
