How to factory reset HP Color Laser MFP 178nw

My printer worked well after setup.

To increase security, I have enabled MAC filtering for my new HP Color Laser MFP 178nw.

I have input the MAC address of my computer, but now I'm unable to open the web page of the printer, also cannot print any more.

I believe this is caused by the MAC filtering feature, how I can disable the MAC filtering feature please?

You can disable this feature from the EWS page of the printer. Let us perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue.

  • The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may corrupt the device.
  • I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
  • In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link:
