How to hook my HP DeskJet 4252e to my HP laptop

I understand you are trying to connect your HP DeskJet 4252e All-in-One Printer to your HP laptop, follow these steps:
 

1. Set Up the Printer

Unbox and Assemble: Remove all packaging from the printer and assemble any parts if necessary. Place the printer on a flat surface near your laptop and power outlet.

Load Paper and Ink: Load paper into the input tray and install the ink cartridges if you haven't done so already.
 

2. Connect the Printer to Your Laptop

Option A: Wireless Connection

Power On the Printer: Turn on your HP DeskJet 4252e.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings. This might be an icon of a wireless signal or labeled as “Wireless” or “Network.”
  • Select the option to set up a wireless connection. Follow the on-screen prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network. You'll need to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.

Install Printer Software:

  • On your laptop, go to the HP Support website and download the latest printer drivers and software for the DeskJet 4252e.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. When prompted, select the wireless option to connect your printer.

Add Printer to Windows:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner. Windows should detect your DeskJet 4252e. Click on it and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

Option B: USB Connection

Connect the USB Cable:

  • Plug one end of the USB cable into the printer and the other end into a USB port on your laptop.

Power On the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.

Install Printer Software:

  • On your laptop, go to the HP Support website and download the latest printer drivers and software for the DeskJet 4252e.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions. The software should automatically detect the connected printer.

Add Printer to Windows:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Click Add a printer or scanner. Windows should detect your DeskJet 4252e. Click on it and follow the prompts to complete the setup.

3. Print a Test Page

  • Once the printer is connected, you can print a test page to make sure everything is working correctly. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners, select your DeskJet 4252e, and click on Manage. Then choose Print a test page.
