To reset your HP OfficeJet Pro 9015 All-In-One Printer to factory settings, follow these steps:
Reset to Factory Settings:
Turn on the Printer:
- Make sure the printer is powered on and idle.On the printer’s control panel, tap the Home icon to access the main menu.Navigate to Settings.
- In the settings menu, find and tap Printer Maintenance.
- Look for the option Restore or Restore Defaults.Tap Restore Factory Defaults or Reset.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm that you want to reset the printer to factory settings.The printer will begin the reset process and may restart automatically.
Detailed Steps:
Home Screen:
- From the printer’s home screen, swipe down to open the control panel dashboard.
- Tap the Settings icon (gear icon).
- Scroll down and select Printer Maintenance.:
- Tap Restore.
- Select Restore Factory Defaults.:
- Confirm the reset by tapping Yes or OK.:
- The printer will restart automatically. If it doesn’t, turn it off and then back on manually.
Post-Reset Steps:
Print Configuration Page: After resetting, print a configuration page to ensure that the reset was successful and to review the default settings.
Reconfigure Network Settings: If the printer was connected to a network, you'll need to reconfigure the network settings if you plan to use the printer before handing it over to your friend.
HP Smart App (Alternative Method):
Open HP Smart App: If you have the HP Smart app installed on your phone or computer, open it and ensure your printer is connected.
Settings in HP Smart:
- Navigate to Printer Settings.
- Select Advanced Settings (or EWS - Embedded Web Server).
