Hi @Minivanman,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Chromebook to your HP M109 LaserJet printer, but there are a few steps and checks to make sure everything is set up correctly:
Check Compatibility: Ensure that your HP M109 LaserJet printer is compatible with Chromebook. Most recent HP printers should work, but it's always good to check the compatibility.
Connect Printer to WiFi: Make sure your printer is properly connected to your WiFi network. You can usually do this through the printer's control panel or web interface.
Update Printer Firmware: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes updates can fix connectivity issues. Update the firmware on an HP printer
Add Printer to Chromebook:
- Go to Settings on your Chromebook.
- Navigate to Advanced > Printing > Printers.
- Click Add Printer. Your Chromebook should search for available printers.
- Select your HP M109 LaserJet from the list.
Use HP Print for Chrome Extension: Install the HP Print for Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store. This extension can help manage your HP printer with your Chromebook.
Ensure Network Visibility: Both your Chromebook and the printer should be on the same WiFi network. Check that there are no network issues.
Restart Devices: Sometimes a simple restart of your Chromebook, printer, and router can resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.
