Hp laserjet cp1525nw won’t connect to the network - worked fine in my old house. Moved to a condo and now I can't get it to connect to my new network. Please help. Blue wifi light was blinking on the front of the printer but then per some internet suggestions I reset to default configs and now the light is just off. I've rebooted the printer, router, and PC.

Hi @happygirl99,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here are some steps to troubleshoot your HP LaserJet CP1525nw network connection issue.
Verify Network Settings:
- Ensure that your new router is operating correctly and is broadcasting the Wi-Fi network.
- Check if your printer's Wi-Fi settings are set to match your new network's SSID (network name) and password.
Reconfigure Wireless Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings. You'll need to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network:
- Press the Wireless button on the printer’s control panel.
- Select "Settings" or "Wireless Setup Wizard."
- Follow the prompts to search for available networks and select your new network.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password if prompted.
Check Printer IP Address:
- Make sure the printer is getting an IP address from your router. Print a network configuration page from the printer to check its IP address. If it's not receiving an IP address, there might be an issue with your router's DHCP settings.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Sometimes, updating the printer’s firmware can resolve connectivity issues. Check HP’s website for any firmware updates for your model and follow their instructions for updating.
Reinstall Printer Software:
- On your PC, remove any existing drivers or software for the printer and reinstall the latest version from HP’s support website. This might help the PC recognize the printer on the new network.
Check Network Security Settings:
- Ensure that your router’s security settings (like WPA2) are compatible with your printer’s network settings. Sometimes, network security settings can cause issues with connectivity.
Reset Printer Network Settings:
- You mentioned resetting to default settings. If you haven’t already, perform a full network reset:
- On the printer, navigate to the “Network” or “Wireless” menu.
- Choose the option to restore the network settings to default.
- Reboot the printer and try setting up the network connection again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
