can anyone please explain this? Yesterday I just needed to insert the paper sheet and I could easily scan the document directly to my HP Smart iOS app.

Might be that your devices switched from your local Wireless network to your "Data".

Local Wireless is when you are connected to the same network as the printer.

 

When you are "remote" (away from your local network),

If your printer supports the option,

You can still use "Print Anywhere"
