@Suecheryl2432--, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry you're having trouble connecting your HP printer to your Wi-Fi. I know how frustrating that can be especially when you're sure the password is correct. Let's walk through some steps to get you connected:
Restart Everything
- Turn off your printer, router, and computer or phone.
- Wait 30 seconds, then turn them back on. This can fix many connection issues.
Use the HP Smart App (Recommended)
The easiest way to connect your printer is with the HP Smart app:
- Download it here: HP Smart
- Open the app and click “Set up a new printer”.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.
Double-Check Your Wi-Fi Details
- Make sure you're connecting to the correct Wi-Fi network (2.4 GHz is preferred for most HP printers).
- Re-enter your Wi-Fi password carefully - watch out for capital letters and special characters.
Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
If it still won’t connect, try resetting the network settings:
- On the printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings.
- Or, for many HP printers, press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds until the wireless light blinks.
Reconnect Using the Printer’s Control Panel
- On the printer, go to Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
