Compaq is a designation for an older series of HP computers.
"Compaq" is not generally relevant to installing or using the OfficeJet Pro 8710 Printer.

For those of us who are "Out of Warranty" people, submitting a case to HP is not an option.
HP Support does not generally provide free service for out-of-warranty devices.
Our Community is not HP Support; we do offer help free of charge.
