Hi @PGAMember ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your inkjet printer is displaying a blue and blank screen, it could be indicative of a firmware or hardware issue. Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot:

  1. Restart the Printer:

    • Turn off the printer by disconnecting the power cord from the back.
    • Wait for about 60 seconds before plugging the power cord back in.
    • Turn the printer back on and check if the issue persists.
  2. Perform a Power Reset:

    • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer while it's turned on.
    • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
    • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and the wall outlet.
    • Turn on the printer.
  3. Update Printer Firmware:

    • If your printer screen was operational and connected to the internet previously, ensure that your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can check HP's support website to download and install the latest firmware updates applicable to your printer model.
  4. Check for Hardware Issues:

    • Make sure there are no physical obstructions or damage inside the printer.
    • Ensure that the control panel buttons are not jammed.
  5. Factory Reset (if accessible):

    • If you can access the settings menu on the screen (or via the software on your computer), attempt a factory reset, which can often resolve firmware glitches.
Note: This will reset all settings on your printer, so reconfiguration may be required after.
