Hi @AShurbs ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're having trouble connecting your HP ENVY Photo 7855 All-In-One Printer to your iMac. Let's go through some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

Basic Troubleshooting Steps

Ensure Both Devices are On and Connected to the Same Network:

  • Make sure both your printer and iMac are turned on.
  • Ensure that both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart Both Devices:

  • Turn off your iMac and printer, then turn them back on after a few seconds.

Check Printer Connection:

  • If you're using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the iMac.
  • If you're using a wireless connection, ensure the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network. You can check this from the printer's control panel.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

Download and Install the Latest Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Enter "HP ENVY Photo 7855" in the search box and select your printer.
  • Download and install the latest drivers for macOS.

Remove and Re-add the Printer:

  • On your iMac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select your HP printer from the list and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Click the plus (+) button to add the printer again. Your iMac should detect the printer automatically.

Printer Network Connection

Reconfigure Wireless Setup on Printer:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Wireless Settings > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Print Network Configuration Page:

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Network Setup > Print Network Configuration Page.
  • Check the network status and IP address to ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.

Additional Steps

Check for macOS Updates:

  • Make sure your iMac is running the latest version of macOS. Go to System Preferences > Software Update to check for updates.

Reset Printing System:

  • On your iMac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and select Reset printing system. This will remove all printers and scanners, and you will need to re-add them.

HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart App from the App Store.
  • Use the app to set up and manage your printer.
