@regizamov, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Here's a step-by-step guide to reset the Wi-Fi settings on your HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6475 and reconnect it on macOS 10.11 El Capitan:

HP DeskJet Plus Ink Advantage 6475 All-in-One Printer supports from macOS 10.12, we suggest you please update the OS.

Reset Wi-Fi on the Printer

You’ll need to restore the network settings:

  • Make sure the printer is ON.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button () on the printer at the same time for about 5 seconds, or until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
  • This resets the printer's network settings to default (disconnected from Wi-Fi).

Use HP Smart (Alternative for macOS 10.11)

Try this:

  • Download HP Easy Start from HP support page:
  • HP Easy Start for macOS 10.11
  • Run HP Easy Start, and follow the on-screen instructions to:
  • Reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi
  • Install the required drivers and utilities

Alternative Setup via Wi-Fi Direct (if Wi-Fi setup fails)

You can print using Wi-Fi Direct temporarily without a router:

  • On the printer, press the Wi-Fi Direct button (it may be under the wireless icon).
  • On your Mac, go to Wi-Fi settings and connect to the printer’s name (e.g., HP-Setup-6475).
  • Once connected, try printing via System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, and add the printer manually.

You can also, use Airprint - About AirPrint - Apple Support
AirPrint is a built-in printing solution for Mac, iPhone, and iPad. You can print from most apps that have a print feature.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
