Hi @TomE2454,

 

Welcome to the HP Support Community

 

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet 5258. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

Let's try resetting the printer and check once

 

1) Take out the cartridges.  

2) Unplug the power cord from the printer & wall.  

3) Wait for 30 seconds.   

4) Plug the power cord back into the printer and wall, ensure the printer is plugged into the wall & not into a surge protector.  

5) Insert the cartridges back into the printer.

 

Update the printer firmware 

 

  • Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your product
  • Click here to know different methods of updating the printer firmware.
  • click here and follow the troubleshooting steps HP printer is offline
