Hi @mariegab,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Let’s keep it simple. Here’s how you can connect your HP OfficeJet 5255 to a new Wi-Fi network.
- Turn on the Printer: Make sure your printer is turned on.
- Access the Control Panel: On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless icon. This usually looks like a signal icon.
- Open Wireless Settings: Select Wireless Settings or Settings from the menu.
- Select Wi-Fi Setup: Choose Wi-Fi Setup Wizard. The printer will search for available networks.
- Choose Your Network: From the list of available networks, select your new Wi-Fi network.
- Enter Password: Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network. Use the on-screen keyboard to type it in.
- Confirm Connection: Once you’ve entered the password, confirm to connect.
- Print a Network Configuration Page (Optional): You can print a network configuration page to verify the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network. This option is usually available in the wireless settings menu.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
