Hi @SheDud,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you've forgotten the admin password for your HP LaserJet MFP M130fw printer, you can try the following steps to reset it.

  1. Factory Reset:

    • Turn off the printer.
    • Press and hold the lower right-hand corner of the touchscreen while turning the printer on.
    • Continue holding the corner until the "Permanent Storage Init" message appears.
    • Release the corner and the printer will perform a factory reset.
  2. Default Password:

    • Try using the default administrator password. Sometimes, the default password is either "admin" or blank (no password). Refer to your printer's manual or documentation to find the default password.
  3. Update Firmware:

    • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve password-related issues.

Remember that performing a factory reset will erase all the settings on your printer, including network settings. Make sure you have a record of your printer's configuration and be prepared to reconfigure it after the reset.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
