Hi @RECaddock,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To change the SSID and password on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw printer to match your new modem/router, you'll need to access the printer's settings through its control panel. Here's a general guide on how to do it.

  • Prepare Your Information: Before you start, make sure you have your new modem/router's SSID (network name) and password handy.
  • Access the Printer's Control Panel: On your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M182nw, locate the control panel, which is typically a touchscreen display. Press the "Home" button to navigate to the main menu.
  • Open Network Settings: From the main menu, navigate to the "Setup" or "Network" section. The options might vary slightly based on your printer's firmware.
  • Wireless Setup Wizard: Look for an option like "Wireless Setup Wizard" or "Wi-Fi Setup" and select it. This will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to a new wireless network.
  • Select Your Network: The printer will scan for available wireless networks. Select your new modem/router's SSID from the list.
  • Enter Password: When prompted, enter the password for your new network (WPA/WPA2 key). Use the touchscreen keyboard to enter the password accurately.
  • Confirm Settings: After entering the password, the printer will attempt to connect to the new network. Make sure to verify the SSID and password before confirming.
  • Restart and Test: Once the printer is successfully connected to the new network, restart the printer to apply the changes. After the restart, print a network configuration page to confirm that the new SSID is displayed.
  • Remember that the exact steps may vary slightly based on your printer's firmware version and user interface design. If you're unsure about any step, you can refer to your printer's user manual or documentation for more specific instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
