Hi @ReginavB, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP Envy 6000e printer stopped working after changing the black ink cartridge, and now you're unable to reconnect it wirelessly to your MacBook Air and mobile phone.

Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:

1. Check the Printer for Errors

  • Does the printer display any blinking lights or error messages?
  • If there’s an amber blinking light, it could indicate an issue with the cartridge installation. Try removing and reinserting the black cartridge securely.

2. Restart the Printer and Network

  1. Power off the printer and unplug it for 1 minute.
  2. Restart your Wi-Fi router (unplug it for 30 seconds and turn it back on).
  3. Restart your MacBook Air and mobile phone.
  4. Power the printer back on and check if it reconnects.

3. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

Since the printer is not reconnecting to Wi-Fi, reset its network settings:

  1. Press and hold the Wireless (Wi-Fi) button and the Cancel button on the printer for about 5 seconds.
  2. The Wi-Fi light will blink, indicating the printer is ready for setup.

4. Reconnect the Printer Using HP Smart

On MacBook Air:

  1. Open HP Smart (or install it from the Mac App Store if not installed).
  2. Click Set Up a New Printer and follow the instructions to connect it to Wi-Fi.

On Mobile (iPhone/Android):

  1. Open HP Smart App.
  2. Tap the “+” icon or Add Printer, then follow the setup steps.

5. Check Your Wi-Fi Connection

  • Ensure that your MacBook Air and mobile phone are connected to the same 2.4GHz or 5HGz Wi-Fi network.

6. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings (if necessary)

If none of the above steps work, restore factory settings:

  1. Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and Power button together for 10 seconds until the light blinks.
  2. Reconnect the printer via HP Smart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
