my grand daughter is trying to print from her iphone to my printer.  It is asking to set up NFC connect, but I don't see it.

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

 

Your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 does not support NFC printing, which is likely why you don’t see the option. However, your granddaughter can still print from her iPhone using AirPrint or the HP Smart app.

How to Print from iPhone Without NFC

Option 1: AirPrint (Recommended)

  1. Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the iPhone.
  2. On the iPhone, open the document or photo to print.
  3. Tap the Share button and select Print.
  4. Choose your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 from the list.
  5. Adjust settings and tap Print.

Option 2: HP Smart App

  1. Download the HP Smart app from the App Store.
  2. Open the app and add your printer.
  3. Select the file to print and follow the on-screen instructions.

If the printer isn’t appearing, try restarting both the printer and the iPhone.
