If the problem continues, check for firmware updates. 

 

I get the above message whenever I attempt to access my HP printer's apps. I've tried several proposed solutions, including the following:

- Checked for firmware updates, for which there were none.

- Reset the printer to factory default and reconfigure. I have installed the latest firmware 2023-08-22 with each reset after testing to see if not installing the latest firmware would resolve the problem.

- Power cycled the printer, including other steps recommended in one posted solution. 

- I've verified that my printer remains among those supporting Web Services, which I understand is a factor required for this functionality. 

My question to HP or anyone in the know about HP's operations:

It could be reasonably interpreted from this error message that my printer cannot connect to Dropbox to allow for this application download.

Has something changed for HP or Dropbox that could account for my printer's newly lost ability to connect, as I've done countless number of times since purchasing this printer five years ago?

 

I've not made any changes to my printer beyond those noted here in my attempt to resolve this matter. A resolution is critical to my restored ability to use these applications since their loss SIGNIFICANTLY reduces this printer's functionality, a printer that, for all accounts, is otherwise in excellent condition.
