Hi, I've moved and yet again I can't get the printer to reconnect with a different WiFi. On either my phone or laptop. It says move the printer closer to the Bluetooth. I have everything so close so know it's not location or WiFi

Hi @Soraya-101,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand it sounds frustrating to deal with this connection issue, especially after moving. Here are some steps to help reconnect your HP DeskJet 2700 to your new WiFi network:
Check Printer and Network Settings:
- Ensure the printer is turned on and connected to the new WiFi network. You can usually find the network settings on the printer’s control panel.
Restart Devices:
- Restart your printer, router, and any devices you're using to connect (laptop, phone). Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connection issues.
Reconfigure WiFi Settings on Printer:
- On the printer’s control panel, navigate to the WiFi settings and select your new network. Enter the WiFi password if prompted.
Use the HP Smart App: HP printer setup (HP Smart app)
- Open the HP Smart app on your phone or laptop. If it’s not already installed, download it from the app store or HP's website.
- Follow the prompts to add a new printer. The app will guide you through connecting the printer to your new WiFi network.
Printer Software Reinstallation:
- If you’re still having trouble, try reinstalling the printer’s software on your laptop. This might reset any incorrect settings and help the printer reconnect to the network.
Check for Firmware Updates: Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Make sure your printer’s firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, connectivity issues can be resolved with a firmware update.
WiFi Direct:
- If you're still having trouble connecting through the network, you can try using WiFi Direct. This allows you to connect your devices directly to the printer without needing a traditional WiFi network.
