I would like to connect my work laptop to my HP Envy Photo 7155 printer but because it is a work computer I have to use use a wired connection. From what I can tell the USB port is for Android phones. Can it be used to connect to a windows computer?

No, that is for normal Windows and Mac computers.  You can connect your Windows machine to your printer using USB. BUT I don't know the rules of your work, I used to work in an environment where I could not use my home printer to print from work machine because they blocked me to install printer driver. Please check your work IT department first.

Regards.
