We upgraded a PC that used to share the check writing printer, Laserjet P3005dn on the network so other workstations could print checks. It worked fine until the Windows 10 PC died. We replaced it with a Windows 11 PC. Now, even if I share the printer, every other workstation gets a 0x0000011b error trying to connect to the printer.
HP Smart can't see it, but the Windows 11 PC recognizes it right away when plugging it in with USB, and the print queue is added automatically. Under Printer Properties, I share the printer, but the other workstations cannot connect to it.
Please help....

OK this worked:
Disable Print Spooler RPC Encryption
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print.
- Right-click on the Print key and select New→ DWORD-32 bit Value.
- Name the new key RpcAuthnLevelPrivacyEnabled.
- Double-click on the new key and set its value to 0 (zero)
Not necessarily advisable, but for now this is a workaround.

Hi,
I suggest checking with Microsoft for any help on such matter, Printer sharing is an operating system feature and any such would occur due to any issue, or to any compatibility between the defferent operating systems.
I suggest checking for updated on both PCs, if the clients computers are Windows 10 I suggest checking for Windows Updates,
I do suggest checking below discussion from MS which seems quite relevant, which suggests uninstalling KB5005573 or install KB5006669 which resolve a known issue with its previous update
Hope that may help,
Shlomi
