Hi @Veldora42,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To connect your HP 4100 printer to Wi-Fi using WPS, you typically don’t need a WPS code but rather use the WPS button on your router. Here’s how to connect your printer using WPS:
Connecting via WPS
Find the WPS Button on Your Router:
- Look for a physical button labeled “WPS” on your Wi-Fi router.
Prepare the Printer:
- Turn on your HP 4100 printer.
- Make sure the printer is ready to connect to the Wi-Fi network. This is usually indicated by the wireless light being on or blinking.
Initiate WPS on the Printer:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi button or navigate to the Network settings.
- Look for an option like Wi-Fi Protected Setup or WPS. Select it, and choose to connect via WPS.
Press the WPS Button on Your Router:
- Within a couple of minutes, press the WPS button on your router. The printer should automatically find the network and connect.
Check Connection Status:
- Once the printer connects successfully, the wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and remain solid.
If the WPS Method Doesn’t Work
If your printer doesn’t have the option for WPS or if you need the WPS PIN for some reason, you can also connect via the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel to manually enter your Wi-Fi credentials:
Use the HP Smart App:
- Download the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
- Follow the prompts to add your printer and connect it to your Wi-Fi network by entering the Wi-Fi password.
Manual Wi-Fi Setup:
- On the printer control panel, go to Network settings.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to choose your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
