Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

The suggestions provided by the community may be OK but it enters the difficult field of who will take the responsibility AND OWNERSHIP for the modification. The Internet Providers will want to say that is a third party issue and not the IP.

Suggest HP take ownership here and list it as one of their priority to fix this issue in their next software release.

Hi @Kassem_B,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing Wi-Fi connectivity issues with your HP Smart Tank 7008 AiO. There are a few troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Basic Troubleshooting

Ensure Wi-Fi is Enabled: Verify that the Wi-Fi feature on the printer is enabled. This can typically be confirmed via the control panel of the printer.

Check Network Connection: Make sure the network is functioning correctly. Test the connection with another device to confirm there’s no broader connectivity issue.

Restart Devices: Restart your router, modem, and printer. Power cycling can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

Printer Placement: Ensure the printer is within the range of the Wi-Fi network. Walls and other obstacles can reduce signal strength.

Advanced Troubleshooting

  • Update Firmware and Software: Ensure that the printer’s firmware and any related software are up to date. This can be done through the HP website or using the HP App.
HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site

  • Router Settings: Check your router settings, including security type and firewall settings, which might block the printer from connecting.

  • Network Reset: On the printer, perform a network settings reset

To restore the printer network settings from the printer control panel 1. Press and hold the Information button for 5 seconds until the control panel buttons light up. 2. Press the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button at the same time for 5 seconds until the Wi-Fi light blinks blue.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
