HP Recommended

I can no longer connect to my printer, after using it successfully for years.  When I use "Add Printer", I can see it listed as HP ENVY Series [62CBCC] but when click "Add" I get the following message:

 

         Unable to connect to ‘HP ENVY 4500 series [62CBCC]._ipp._tcp.local.’ due to an error.

 

I've rebooted the mac and rebooted the printer.  I've also reinstalled the printer on my wi-fi network and tried to "Ping" its IP address from a Terminal window but there is no response.  

 

Any idea what I should try next?  Thanks for your help.
