My DeskJet 2742e won't connect to my 5G Network

Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

We recently upgraded to a 5G Network and our printer won't stay connected so we can print wirelessly.  HELP. This is so annoying.

Important

If you have not done so recently, Update the Printer Firmware

HP DeskJet/Ink Advantage 2700 All-in-One Printer series All-in-One Printer series Firmware Update 

Set the "Fixes" section for a list of the improvements added to this update.

 

If the printer is no longer connecting, consider setting the Network Defaults and re-adding the printer to your network.

What else?

Check the type of connection.

The printer supports dual band / dual frequency but perhaps not at the same time.

For example - if the router supports doing so, consider creating a uniquely named SSID network for each band / frequency.

Connect the printer to the SSID network you intend it to use.

Reinstall / Update your PDF Reader (Adobe Reader DC /Optional  Foxit Reader)

HINT:  Watch out for and UNCHECK unwanted extra software

 Step 3:  Use Print Anywhere

Open Subsection:  Private Pickup (HP+ printers only)

Enable / Disable the service to hold the print job until the person who sent it is near the printer.
