Hi @Edmond_Davis,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP Envy 4502 printer continuously displays the "Cannot print" message with instructions to "Press OK to connect and update status." Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Check for Error Messages: Ensure there are no pending error messages or print jobs in the printer queue that require attention.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Wait at least 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Ensure Paper and Ink Levels:

  • Verify that there is sufficient paper in the tray and that the ink cartridges are properly installed and have enough ink.
  • Replace any low or empty ink cartridges.

Check Network Status:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the correct network.
  • Use the printer's control panel to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network if needed.

Software Update:

Take care and have an amazing day!
