Whenever I print anything to my HP Envy 6000E I get a printer error in Windows 10. Sometimes if I wait long enough (10-70 seconds?) it will print as requested, despite the error warning. Other times printing requires me to go tin Windows control panel and diagnose the printer. Once the diagnosing starts, sometimes it will begin printing. Other times it still won't print. Sometimes a power cycle of the printer will resurrect the printer, other times Nothing will fix the problem. I just reset the PC and it MAY print after the reset. Both are on the same WiFi network and are 10 feet from each other (although router is down on lower level). Several MACs and iPhonses from other users have no issues printing from anywhere in the house, it's just my desktop Win 10 PC. Had the printer since 12/2023 and it's had this issue ever since I installed it. What could the issue be?

Hi @DaveVK2024
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you’re experiencing some frustrating connectivity issues with your HP Envy 6000E printer and your Windows 10 desktop PC. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to potentially resolve this problem:
1. Update Printer Drivers
- Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your Windows 10 PC. You can download the latest drivers from the HP Support website.
- Sometimes using the HP Smart app can help with driver installation and updates.
2. Check Printer Status
- Make sure your printer is set as the default printer. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, find your HP Envy printer, and set it as default.
- Ensure there are no pending print jobs stuck in the queue. If there are, clear them.
3. Wireless Connection
- Check the Wi-Fi connection between your printer and your PC. Since both are 10 feet apart, they should have a strong signal, but interference can still occur.
- Try printing from your PC while closer to the router to rule out any connection issues.
4. Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor, a free tool from HP that helps diagnose and resolve printing and scanning issues.
5. Reset the Printing System
- In Windows, you can reset the printer settings. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select Remove Device. Then add it again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
