I have an HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer.
The screen on the printer reads "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved."
I have no idea what the issue is.
I've tried HP Smart and virtual assistant and still unable to discover what the issue is.
How do I speak with a "Human" at HP Customer Support?

Hi @JLC315,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8025e printer displays the message "A problem has occurred with your HP account and you will be unable to print until the issue is resolved," it typically means there is an issue with your HP account or its connection with the printer. Here’s how you can troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check HP Account Status
- Sign In to HP Account: Go to the HP Smart website and sign in to your HP account. Verify that your account is active and there are no notifications or issues.
- Account Information: Ensure your account information is up to date, including payment details if applicable.
2. Verify Printer Registration
- HP Smart App: Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device and check if the printer is registered and connected to your HP account.
- Re-register Printer: If necessary, remove the printer from the app and re-add it. Follow the app’s instructions to set up the printer again.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Firmware Update: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. Firmware updates can sometimes resolve connectivity issues with HP accounts.
- In the HP Smart app, go to Printer Settings and check for firmware updates.
4. Check for Service Outages
- HP Services: Sometimes, HP services might be temporarily down.
5. Restart Printer and Devices
- Power Cycle Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart Computer or Mobile Device: Restart the device you’re using to manage the printer.
6. Reconfigure Wireless Settings
- Network Setup: If there’s a possibility that network settings might be causing the issue, you can reconfigure the wireless settings on the printer.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the instructions.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
