Hi @Haven6,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 printer is not displaying any available Wi-Fi networks and you're unable to connect it to Wi-Fi, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.
Restart Printer: Power off your printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then power it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
Check Wi-Fi Settings on Printer:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Wireless or Network settings. Ensure that Wi-Fi is enabled and that the printer is set to discover networks.
- If your printer has a touchscreen display, you can usually find these settings under the network or setup menu.
Wi-Fi Signal Strength: Ensure that the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router. If it's too far away or there are obstacles between the printer and the router, it may not detect the Wi-Fi network.
Restart Wi-Fi Router: Sometimes, issues can arise from the router side. Try restarting your Wi-Fi router or access point to refresh the network connection.
Manual Wi-Fi Setup: If your printer supports manual entry of Wi-Fi network details:
- Obtain your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
- On the printer's control panel, look for an option to manually enter Wi-Fi network details. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter the SSID and password.
Check for Firmware Updates: Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Firmware updates can sometimes fix bugs related to network connectivity.
Factory Reset: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer. Be aware that this will reset all settings to their factory defaults:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Settings or Setup menu.
- Look for an option to reset the printer. Follow the prompts to reset the printer.
These steps should help you diagnose and hopefully resolve the Wi-Fi connectivity issue with your HP OfficeJet Pro 8725 printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
