WiFi has been disabled on my officejet 200. I am trying to set it up on a new computer, and am unable to do that because of this issue. I have reviewed previous posts and none of those options have worked.
How can I enable Wifi?

Hi @ShawnOst,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To enable Wi-Fi on your HP OfficeJet 200 printer, follow these steps:
1. Enable Wi-Fi from the Printer Control Panel
Power On the Printer:
- Make sure your printer is powered on.
Access Wireless Settings:
- On the printer control panel, press the Wireless button or icon (usually looks like a Wi-Fi symbol).
Enable Wi-Fi:
- Navigate to Wireless Settings or Wi-Fi Settings.
- Select Turn On Wireless or Enable Wi-Fi.
Connect to a Network:
- Follow the prompts to select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password if required.
2. Using the HP Smart App
If the above steps don't work, or if the menu is not available:
Install HP Smart App:
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer, smartphone, or tablet.
Connect Your Printer to HP Smart:
- Open the HP Smart app, and select the Add Printer option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up Wi-Fi on your printer. The app will guide you through enabling Wi-Fi and connecting the printer to your network.
Please find the remaining steps in the next post.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

Hi @ShawnOst ,
Please find the remaining steps below.
3. Perform a Network Reset
If Wi-Fi still remains disabled, you can perform a network reset:
Reset Wireless Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to Setup > Network Setup > Restore Network Settings or Restore Wireless Defaults.
Reconnect Wi-Fi:
- After resetting, use the Wireless Setup Wizard from the control panel to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network again.
4. Check for Physical Buttons
Some models have a dedicated Wi-Fi button:
- If your printer has a Wi-Fi Direct button (it may look like a small radio tower), press it and hold for a few seconds to enable Wi-Fi.
5. Restart Your Printer
- Turn off your printer, wait for 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes refresh the Wi-Fi settings.
Following these steps should help you re-enable Wi-Fi on your HP OfficeJet 200. If the issue persists, consider updating your printer’s firmware or checking for any physical damage that might affect the wireless module.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
