Hi @Melody33,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP 6000 series printer keeps showing as offline. Let’s go through some steps to get it back online.

1. Check Printer Power & Connection

Make sure the printer is powered on and not in sleep mode.

If it’s connected by USB, ensure the cable is firmly plugged in.

If it’s on Wi-Fi, confirm the Wi-Fi light on the printer is solid (not blinking).

2. Restart Printer and PC

Power off the printer, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on.

Restart your computer as well.

3. Set Printer as Default

On your PC, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

Select your HP printer → Set as default.

4. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP’s free tool: HP Print and Scan Doctor.

Run it to automatically detect and fix connection/offline issues.

5. Check Printer Status

Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.

Right-click your printer → make sure Use Printer Offline is not checked.

6. Reconnect Wi-Fi

On the printer, open the Wireless Settings menu.

Select Restore Network Defaults, then reconnect to your Wi-Fi.

On your PC, remove the old printer entry and add the printer again under Printers & scanners.

7. Update Printer Drivers

Go to the HP Support site → enter your printer model.

Download and install the latest full feature software or drivers for your HP 6000 series.

8. If Still Offline

Try connecting the printer via USB to confirm it works.

If it does, the issue is likely with Wi-Fi setup or router settings.

I hope this helps.
