Hi @Erico57,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Envy 4500 e All-In-One printer is having trouble connecting to your new WiFi network.
Here are a few steps you can try to fix the issue:
1. Reset the Printer's Network Settings
- Turn on your printer.
- On the printer's control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi button and the Cancel button (X) at the same time until the Power button starts blinking.
- This will reset the printer's network settings, allowing you to reconnect to your WiFi.
2. Reconnect to the WiFi Network
- After resetting, press the Wireless icon on the printer’s display.
- Select your new WiFi network from the list of available networks.
- Enter the new WiFi password and confirm the connection.
3. Use the HP Smart App to Set Up the Printer
- Download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or smartphone (available on Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android).
- Open the app and select Set Up a New Printer.
- Follow the instructions in the app to complete the WiFi setup.
4. Use WPS for Quick Connection (if your router supports it)
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Within 2 minutes, press and hold the Wireless button on your printer until the Wi-Fi light starts blinking.
- The printer should connect automatically.
5. Check the Printer's Network Configuration
- If the printer still can't connect, print a Network Configuration Page (from the printer's control panel menu).
- Check for any errors or misconfigurations in the network settings, like incorrect IP or DNS addresses.
6. Ensure Compatibility with Your WiFi
- Make sure your WiFi network is using 2.4 GHz band, as some HP printers do not support 5 GHz networks.
- Check the WiFi settings on your router to confirm the printer can connect.
7. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- If the printer still won’t connect, visit the HP support website to check for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
