Hi @Raymanrdh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Having trouble connecting your HP 6455 printer to your new Wi-Fi network can be frustrating, but let's troubleshoot the issue together. Here are some steps you can try.

  • Restart Your Printer: Turn off your HP 6455 printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check Wi-Fi Settings on Printer: Make sure your printer's Wi-Fi settings match your new router's settings. You may need to access the printer's control panel or settings menu to enter the new Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password.
  • Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi: Most HP printers have a wireless setup wizard or Wi-Fi Direct option that allows you to reconnect to a new network. Refer to your printer's user manual for instructions on how to use these features.
  • Reset Network Settings: If you're still having trouble, you can try resetting the printer's network settings to factory defaults and then set up the Wi-Fi connection again. Again, refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. Sometimes, firmware updates include improvements to wireless connectivity. You can usually check for and install firmware updates through the printer's control panel or by visiting the HP support website.
  • Check Router Settings: Ensure that your new router's settings, such as network name (SSID) and security type (WPA2, for example), are correctly configured. Also, check if the router's wireless network is broadcasting and is within range of the printer.
  • Disable Firewall or Security Software Temporarily: Sometimes, security software or firewall settings on your computer can interfere with printer connectivity. Try temporarily disabling them and see if the printer connects.
  • Restart Router: Restart your new router to refresh its settings and connections. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issue with your HP 6455 printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
