Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Try these steps:

Wireless Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that the Wi-Fi router is working properly and that there is a stable internet connection.

USB Connection:

  • If using a USB connection, make sure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and your computer.

Restart Printer and Network Devices

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for about one minute.
  • Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Restart Router and Computer:

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router and computer to ensure there are no network issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi Network

Reconnect Printer to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer control panel, access the wireless setup menu.
  • Select the option to reconnect or reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection.

Manual Wi-Fi Setup:

  • Use the HP Smart app to reconnect your printer to the Wi-Fi network.
    • Download the HP Smart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
    • Open the app and follow the prompts to reconfigure the printer’s Wi-Fi settings.

Update Printer Firmware

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

 

Set Printer as Default

  1. Set as Default Printer:
    • On your computer, ensure that the HP DeskJet 2700 series is set as the default printer.
    • Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Set your HP DeskJet 2700 series as the default printer.
    • Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners > Set your HP DeskJet 2700 series as the default printer.

Reset Printer Network Settings

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • On the printer’s control panel, find the option to reset network settings.
    • Resetting the network settings will clear any previous connection settings and allow you to start fresh.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and Run HP Print and Scan Doctor:
    • Download the HP Print and Scan Doctor from the HP Customer Support page.
    • Run the tool to diagnose and fix printer connectivity issues.
