Hi @Lotogophx,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Since you switched from CenturyLink to Cox internet, you need to reconnect your HP printer to the new WiFi network. Follow these steps.

Use HP Smart App (Recommended)

Download HP Smart

  • If you haven’t already, install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
  • You can get it from HP Smart.

Reset Printer’s Network Settings

  • For most HP printers, press and hold the WiFi button (or WiFi + Cancel buttons) for about 5-10 seconds until the WiFi light starts blinking.
  • This puts your printer in setup mode.

Reconnect to WiFi using HP Smart

  • Open HP Smart → Click Set up a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your Cox WiFi network.

Manually Connect via Printer’s Control Panel

Go to the Printer's Control Panel

  • On touchscreen models: Go to WiFi/Network settings → Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • On non-touchscreen models: Press the WiFi button until the light starts blinking, then use WPS (see next step).

Use WPS (If Available)

  • On your Cox router, press the WPS button for about 3-5 seconds.
  • On your printer, press the WiFi button to connect.

Check Connection

  • Once connected, print a Network Configuration Page to confirm the new WiFi details.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
