My printer is not connecting to my new Wi-Fi

My new printer was not connecting to my new WiFi yesterday but today even after I have restarted it more than 3 times it shows that it is offline

Use HP Print and Scan Doctor to fix connectivity and printing issues.

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor.

1. Run HPPSdr.exe from the download location on your computer.

2. Once HP Print and Scan Doctor opens, click Start, and then select your printer.

   • If your printer is not in the list, turn it off and on, and then click Retry.

   • If there is a connection problem, follow the instructions in HP Print and Scan Doctor.

3. If a screen prompts you to turn on printer updates, click Yes.

4. If a screen prompts you to make your printer the default printer, click Yes.

5. Try to print.

Assign a manual IP address and that should fix the issue.

A Network Configuration Page lists important network settings such as network status and the printer IP address.

Press the Wireless button  and the Information button  at the same time.

Setting a Static IP Address

Once you know your printer’s IP address from the page you printed, entering it is pretty easy. Here’s what you do:

1. Run your Web browser.
2. In the Web browser’s address bar, type the IP address of your printer and press Enter. Assuming you entered the right address, the HP printer control panel should appear.
3. Click the Networking tab.
4. Under Connections, click Wireless.
5. Under IP Address Configuration, click Manual IP.
6. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway in the appropriate boxes.
7. Click Apply.

I have a mac computer, is there a corresponding link to the HP print and scan doctor for mac?

I am having all kinds of problems with this new printer.  It is offline and also saying idle.  What is going on?

HP Print and Scan Doctor is not available for Mac. However, select one of the following links to resolve common printing, connection, or scanning issues.

• Printer offline issue: If you see an offline message as the status for the printer or a Printer not responding message when attempting to print, go to Printer is Offline (Mac).

• Print quality issues: If the quality of a printed document or photo is not as expected, go to HP Support , type your printer model number, and then search for print quality to find the Fixing Poor Print Quality document for steps to resolve the issue.

• Scan connection issues: Go to Network Scanner Connection Error (Mac) or USB Scanner Connection Error (Mac) , depending on your printer connection type.

• Scan quality issues: If the computer file or printout has vertical lines, incorrect colors, color bands, or poor resolution after scanning, go to Improving Scan Quality.
