@CGST_Office, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Connecting Your HP Printer to Wi-Fi!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

To connect your HP printer to a Wi-Fi network, you will need the network name (SSID) and the network password. Here are the steps to guide you through the setup process:

1. Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup)

If your router and printer support WPS, follow these steps:

  • Press and hold the WPS button on your router until the WPS light starts to blink.
  • On your printer, press and hold the Wireless button for a few seconds or as instructed in your printer’s manual.
  • The printer should automatically connect to the Wi-Fi network.

2. Manual Setup via Printer Control Panel

If your printer has a touchscreen or display panel:

  • Go to the Wireless settings menu on your printer.
  • Select "Wireless Setup Wizard" from the options.
  • Choose your network name (SSID) from the list.
  • Enter the Wi-Fi password when prompted.

3. Use HP Smart App

For most HP printers, you can use the HP Smart App for setup:

  • Download the HP Smart App on your smartphone or computer.
  • Open the app and select "Set Up a New Printer."
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to your network.

4. Find Network Name (SSID) and Password

  • Refer to your network router for a label with the default SSID and password.
  • Access your network settings via a connected device's Wi-Fi settings to retrieve the SSID and password.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
