HP Office Jetpro 6968
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer was connected to my network and to my PC, but it lost the Wi-Fi connection. I have tried wireless wizard setup feature as well as manually entering my network name and it will not find my router.

My phone is connected to it my computer is connected to it ...no matter how many times I refresh the printer it will not find my router.

 What is the problem?

@JerrellS, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Is the wireless blue light blinking on the printer?

Does it detect any other wireless network? Bu this, we can check if the wireless radio is working or not.

You may also print a test report:

  1. From the home screen on the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setup icon .

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Reports.

  3. Touch Network Configuration Report.

  4. Check if wireless is working/on

If MAC filtering is enabled on the router, you will have to add the printer's MAC address on the router to allow it.

On the printer screen, go to Setup > Network Setup > Restore network settings

Go back to Network > Wireless > Wireless setup wizard and select your network.

  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network.
  • This printer supports only 2.4GHz network. So, the PC should be on the 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both the networks.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
