Need to manually swap between internet and printer to use either

Hi i wonder if anyone could help me please.

I have an Envy 6230.  It is set up on an upstairs computer and works absolutely fine but i have a mac computer downstairs and i can use the printer and the internet but if i want to print i have to manually go into the internet settings and chose the printer and if i want to go and use the internet i have to go back into the internet settings and chose the internet.  I have tried numerous ways of getting the internet and printer to work as and when but not to have to keep going in and manually changing them over.

I can use my mobile phones, laptop and ipad absolutely fine but just not the mac.  Any help would be fabulous.
