Product: HP Neverstop Laser MFP 1202w

The NeverStop printer disappears after setting it up as soon as I switch back to my wifi. Here's what I do: 

1. Reset printer wifi by holding X and network buttons until network blinks

2. Select the printer in the Mac's wifi list

3. Add the printer. All good, says it's connected and "ready"

4. But then as soon as I switch back to my wifi network it is no longer available

 

I tried these steps a few times, with the same results every time. The Neverstop has been notoriously awful with wifi - disconnecting all the time, having to reset it at least every couple weeks or so. We have three others next to it - a Cannon and two Brothers - and they have never once disconnected.

 

Before we chuck this in the electronics recycling bin with a full tank of ink, we're wondering if this can be remedied, or if we just take the loss. Thanks
