I recently switched over to a new tmobile box for wifi after using spectrum for many years and for some reason no matter what I do, my HP Deskjet 3772 won't connect or fix it's wifi setting. I have done both the wps fixing method as well as the wifi setup wizard and nothing is fixing it or properly connecting it as is should, honestly tearing my hair out! I have unplugged everything and reset it a gazillion times, and I've gotten to the point of removing the printer to re-add but I cannot do that because I have a subscribed ink service. Am I screwed lol? Someone help kindly, thank you! 🙂

@Zoeybagoey, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding HP Deskjet WiFi Connection!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Step 1: Verify Network Compatibility

Make sure your T-Mobile WiFi settings are compatible with the HP Deskjet 3772. Ensure the WiFi network is operating on the 2.4 GHz band, as some HP printers may not support the 5 GHz band.

Step 2: Reset Network Settings on Printer

  1. Reset Network Settings:
    • Turn off the printer.
    • Press and hold the wireless button and the cancel button together for three seconds.
    • This will reset the network settings.

Step 3: Reconnect Using HP Smart App

  1. Download the HP Smart App:
    • Install the HP Smart app on your smartphone or computer.
    • Open the app and follow the instructions to set up your printer.
    • Ensure your device is connected to the same WiFi network.

Step 4: Check for Firmware Updates

  1. Update Printer Firmware:
    • Visit the HP support website.
    • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model.
    • Download and install any updates.

Step 5: Verify Network Password and Security Settings

  1. Check Password and Security Settings:
    • Ensure that you are entering the correct WiFi password.
    • Verify that your network security settings are correct and compatible (WPA2 is recommended).

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
