HP OfficeJet 5255
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

During a recent move, the control panel screen on my HP Officejet 5255 cracked and is not usable. I actually have 2 questions:

        1) Where can I get it repaired, or do I need to buy a new printer altogether? Going through HP Support, it tells me that there are no authorized repair centers within 500 miles of Tucson, AZ??

        2) Is there a way to change the wireless network on the printer with my laptop instead of using the control panel on the printer?

Thank you!

Welcome to the HP support community.

I understand that the printer display is broken and you want to change the WiFi connection on the printer.

You can change the Wireless connection using a USB cable from your Windows device.

Refer to page number 86 in this user guide for the steps:- Click here

The broken display seems to be a hardware issue.

I request you to talk to HP support.

They might have multiple options to help you with this.

  1. Click on this link - https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact-hp?openCLC=true
  2. Select the country.
  3. Enter the serial of your device.
  4. Select the country from the drop-down.
  5. Click on "Show Options".
  6. Fill the web-form. A case number and phone number will now populate for you.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.

Cheers.
